A PRESCIENT DANGER WARNING

The USA Today newspaper offices overlook the Washington mall and the capital.  It is in a winged shape set of buildings on the other side of the Potomac river and has impressive views.  The building also houses the Northrop Grumman Washington offices on 2 floors. I was there, negotiating significant military equipment (SME) with PMA208, for a U.S Navy annual contract.  I also had to sign a notification that I was a lobbyist.  This was due to my meeting with Senator Packwood while I was selling to the Navy.  Back to the prescient danger. In late January, USA Today published an editorial penned by Joe Biden. It was a warning to President Trump.

Joe Biden wrote in his editorial “to be blunt… I am concerned that the Trump administration’s short sighted policies have left us unprepared for a dangerous epidemic that will come sooner or later.” This sage prescient warning was given when Mr. Ed said there was only one confirmed case in the U.S. and Fox opinion channel labeled it a democratic hoax to roil the markets and create a panic.

Currently the administration is again swimming down the longest river in denial, that the virus will come back in the fall.  Experts all agree, we will not have not seen the last of this virus and warned of the recurrence.  Mr. Ed also stated l week ago that the mortality would peak at about 60,000 in the United States.  Fortunately for me I did not actually graduate from the Trump school of economics or statistics. 

When I look at the virus mortality over time I see a bell shaped curve.  The curve has flattened and by no means does it show mortality has decreased significantly.  There are two sides to a bell shaped curve and without a method of mediation (which do not currently exist), you can double the 1^st half of the curve’s totals.  Mr. Ed had promoted some dubious snake oil remedies, which can kill.  The other side of the curve will look like the front side, which means the actual numbers of deaths he should be saying is 100,000 to 120,000 deaths.  It is obvious he cannot see past the next day, let alone the next 6-8 months.

POTUS WAISTING TIME JUST FOR RATINGS

The president relishes in his daily briefing and enjoys bashing the media and has a daily laser pointer for everyone to chase. He uses it to excoriate his perceived enemies and has the daily sycophant parade.  All this is the theatrics he uses to distract from his abominable Covid  virus response record.  He even has gone to extreme extent of blame, as to have the State Department remove from their website any mention of the WHO and his comments praising China for their transparency.  I’m sure this was done so as to have him not look so hypocritical.

The Donald in his daily Covid Virus briefings, spent 13 hours talking.  He spent twice as much talking about hydroxychloloquine, than he did giving any kind of empathy for any of the deceased.  He spent 4 ½ minutes on empathy and 9 minutes talking about the drug that has been found to be twice ad deadly for VA patients, in an observation involving 360 individuals contracting the virus.  The drug is known to cause heart rhythm problems.  This combined with Covid, which is known to cause thrombosis, is a deadly combination.  Thank You Dr. Trump! 

 Then there is the riff of disinfectant use internally.  His first excuse was, it was incorrectly reported by the lame stream media.  The videotape shows otherwise.  Then he said he was using sarcasm. Yeah right, when does use sarcasm when it pertains to life and death?  Then it was on to saying he was aiming it as a question to the briefer not Dr. Birx. Wrong. He clearly said her first name prior to the question regarding the infestation of disinfectant. 

Two hours were wasted with his ranting and railing on individuals that he has a grievance with (usually those who disagree with him).  He also spent 45 minutes on self-congratulations, touting his accomplishments and chastising the media for not reporting his fake news.  This is evident by his self-pity, blame and craving for praise.

There was also room for real information. Dr. Birx spoke for 6 hours answering questions and correcting the President.  Dr Fauci had to endure 2 hours of the same.  Both of these individuals had to endure the waste, when obviously the facts could have been given in less than 8 hours.

I will leave today’s rant giving some projections made by real economists.  This will ultimately be as bad, if not worse, than the great depression.  Already the drop in the 1^st quarter GDP and is expected a drop of 40% annualized. This unemployment level that took 2 months to achieve with this virus, took years to get to 25% during the great depression.  The unemployment is estimated to be between 20% and 40% for the foreseeable future.  It is predicted there will be a 2^nd and possibly a 3^rd wave without mediation or a vaccine.
