TRUST ME I HAVE A BIG BRAIN
I have used these weeks sequestered in my house, as a result of the pandemic, to write a daily summation of my frustrations at the utter failures of this administration, to either recognize or ignore an impending disaster. I’ve only gone outside beyond my property to shop for groceries. The real tragedy is the inaction, when the pandemic dictated clear-headed responses. The Commander in Chief realized early on he had a lose-lose situation that has been handled.
The initial response was having a disastrous CDC testing rollout and re-starts and having to guess who has been in charge, Mike Pence or Jared Kushner. It’s been a week since Kushner was taking the victory lap, stating his success story with the pandemic and Trump basking in, what one could only describe as, a mission accomplished moment.
With the disavowing any responsibility and like Pilate, the administration has offloaded any failures to the states. This lets Dear Leader have the ability to criticize and distort their actions like the bully he is.
He said that he had been treated far worse than any other president, even Lincoln, note Lincoln was shot. He also chided Bush for not coming to his defense against the impeachment hoax.
The disappointment I have is not being able to write about the efforts by Trump’s minions when the states are now to blame? About a week ago, Trump revised the projected death toll to 77,000. The statement came from a study that projected from what they thought was the peak and that the guidelines for re-opening was, adhered to. The total number was through July, although that was not stated. In my opinion, the death toll has already claimed at least 10-15% higher, as a result of undercounting deaths. I predict in 2 weeks, we will be at the 77,000 and will beat the estimate by 2 months. I now say 120,000-150,000 before it’s all done and Trump and Kushner both call this a success story. It’s only near the end of beginning not the beginning of the end. The second wave is yet to come ashore.
Today Trump upped his estimate to a high of 134,000. I’m now going to up my estimate from 160,000-200,000 deaths as a result of premature opening, with no state meeting all the 5 goals that the medical professionals had laid out. Trump desperately has been looking for anything or following anyone with a cure or an excuse to open up the economy.
He is again up the infamous river DeNile. It’s going to get worse before it gets better. And later in the day the experts now say 134,000 by end of August 4th with 3,000 deaths a day by July. The toll could go to 250,000 with the undercount. Undercount is the difference between 5-year monthly average vs actual count for March and beyond. This could be as much as 25%.
So this may be the last of my daily excuses I’ve been using to get away from my autobiography.
