THE TRILOGY
Trump, in an interview, called those going out and working “warriors”. His attitude is that jumpstarting the economy trumps saving lives. Like Vietnam, he is avoiding the declared war on the pandemic response like it had the virus. His response is a trilogy of an individual that has surrounded himself with incompetent advisor, except the medical advisors Deborah Birx and Anthony Fauci. These two advisors have a better approval rating than POTUS, primarily for being more honest than Trump. Today’s trilogy is the deficiencies, which abound as he has mental, moral, and intellectual deficiencies.
The mental deficiencies include his neediness to be surrounded by incompetent sycophants. His consistent use of projection, blaming others and deflection all contribute to having the mental growth of a sub teenaged child.
Trump’s moral lapses abound, examples are his infidelity while his spouse is pregnant, or dating his future wife while still married, or how about the pussy grabber self-incrimination. He lives in his own bubble and cannot help himself, lying for no reason.
Now, on to the intellectual deficiencies of this stable genius. With Trump saying he has a big brain and can channel (from his uncle that taught at MIT decades ago) his intelligence by osmosis. He can barely complete a thought and most sentences are jumbled messes. The nearest he comes to a stable genius is the horse stable, and yes he is smarter than Mr. Ed, the horse and many others of the farm animal kingdom.
Another Trump trilogy-
TRAGIC MISSTEPS
The rationale for the stay-in-place order was to buy time to develop testing. Rapid testing was the objective, so the economy could re-open in safety. The lack of testing can lead directly back to the Trump Administration’s lack of focus on testing. The Defense Production Act should have been fully implemented to save lives, by knowing who has the virus. Testing is an imperative due to individuals that are asymptomatic. These individuals could be carriers and that is why it is a requirement to be able to open. He is promoting opening without the massive, rapid testing being available. What could go wrong?
Nurses were at the oval office for national nurses day, when one of them commented that PPE supplies were sporadic for health care workers and Trump chimed in and ran over her to rebut her comments to say there are many with all the PPE they needed. She said she had to use her N95 mask for two weeks. He again rebutted that the shelves were empty when he arrived in office. My comment to that is why after 3 ½ yrs. he has not re-stocked them?
With 25% the numbers of deaths in the world and with only 4% of the world’s population provides the backdrop for his leadership. That’s the tally for Trumps response success. Lets look at his inaction. Remember Biden wrote a warning on Feb. 27th. On Jan. 22 in Davos, Trump said there was only one case of the virus in the U.S. He was warned by the CDC and in his daily brief by then. One month after Davos he said there was only 11 cases and would soon go to zero. Then it was 15 to down zero with nothing to worry about. On March 10th he stated we are prepared and everyone should stay calm.
Anytime any of the Trump family gets involved, you need to lookout for the grift, followed by incompetence. Two of Trump’s large donors got together and formed a new company earlier this year to provide PPE and were touted by the administration as a company that could provide the products. They had never made any of the products, yet got two large contracts as pushed by the administration. Needless to say, they failed after millions of dollars and time wasted.
For all of Trump’s failures, a scapegoat must be found. In 2016 it was Mexico and immigration and now in 2020 it’s China and the pandemic as a foil.
The chant now is “Blame China!” instead of “build that wall!”. What do the Mark Meadows and Darrel Issa and other Republicans, that said that Obama was the most corrupted president, now say about Trump? Will xenophobia carry the day again? Is it going to be us against them again?
Donald Trump has brought this country weakness, incompetence, and misery, yet he still has the die-hards that are blinded by the lies, deceit and deflection. This is another tragic trilogy of this administration.
THE BAY OF PIGS REVISITED
This week, 2 former Green Beret soldiers were caught attempting to beach in Venezuela. They were a part of a team that was attempting to overthrow president Maduro of Venezuela and install Juan Guaido. It was exposed by a FOIA request, that discovered a Government Services Administration document that was a contract with a group of disgruntled Venezuelans (about 800) that were formed to overthrow Maduro and install Guaido as President.
This wreaks of the failure of the Kennedy Bay of Pigs. This comes from a Washington Post article May 7, 2020 and I’m sure there is more to come on this.
Did Trump authorize an overthrow to install his puppet in an oil-rich country like was done in Iran in the 1950’s? Does he not know history? The Bay of Pigs and Iran did not ultimately work out. The installation of leaders by the U.S. has never worked out. Take Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, and our attempts in Honduras, Viet Nam and elsewhere. Tell me where these actions did anything other than waste taxpayer dollars, kill individuals, and provide for a long-term enemy. I’m just reading about this inane action. Apparently, the two individual had their Defense Department Identification, as well as other IDs, so they were easily identified as Green Beret. Competent solders know not to carry ID on a mission, so they cannot be tied back to the source of their invasion. It’s the signature of this administration to only hire incompetence, cronies, and fall guys, so he can deflect his inadequacy.
If you do not speak out with your opinion you do not fulfill your obligation to democracy and you may also lose democracy when honest dissent is silenced.
