SPREADING REALITY

On January 27^th Joe Biden had written about what actions should take place in preparing for a pandemic. The actions included the reliance on the medical experts for information and how essential it is for them lay out the necessary procedures required to suppress the virus. 

Until now, Donald Trump has done everything he could to spread the virus. He downplayed the virus and thus the states and the federal government did not brace for the up-coming pandemic. He did this for two months. This action was the model for countries with the worst outcomes for the virus, which includes the US, Brazil, and UK. All of their leaders initially denied the severity of the virus and downplayed its effects with devastating results. 

Trump was warned and ignored or was ill informed of the virus and its severity early on.  Someone told him initially it resembled a flu or cold virus like other Covid types. His claims persisted to keep up the happy talk and say it is only 1 case and it will go away. 

Trump is concentrating on his re-election with unemployment numbers and the stock markets humming in January, wanting nothing to upset the status quo, wanting to believe the best case scenario and dreaming with magic, it would go away. 

This was the same time he was in negotiations with Xi of China for a trade deal that obviously went poorly for Trump or he would have said more about the deal at the time.  During this time in January he was praising Xi for his cooperation with the virus. Trump now is waging a cold war type propaganda effort against China and blaming China for his inadequate initial response to the pandemic.

In mid-March Trump was hit by the market crash and reality check by the CDC issuing a statement about the virus while he was in India. The fiasco with initial testing by the CDC and the refusal of the test kits offered by the WHO, also contributed to the current outcomes. Look at South Korea. They accepted the test kits from the WHO and have corralled the virus.

Trump kept concentrating on saying it will go away due to warm weather in the summer. Providing this type of disinformation gave everyone unwarranted confidence. The politicizing the masks also contributed to the spread of the virus.

By Trump pushing the virus response for PPE, ventilators, and testing onto the states and saying he is only a cheerleader as he watches on. This created 50 states to scramble for supplies, as his son in law pursues ways to have his buddies’ companies get excess profits by having states compete for limited supplies. This action also contributed to delays and thus increased the spread.

If you want a test you can get a test was BS then and is still is BS. The best tool in fighting the virus is knowing where it is. The lack of immediately initiating the Defense Production Act for this effort and making a test that can determine the virus in minutes is required. Fully opening of the economy will rest on this test. Testing that requires 6-10 days for results are useless.  Not knowing who has the virus leads to spreading the virus.

Trump tweeted in all caps demanding the premature opening of states that did not meet the criteria from the CDC.  This created the recent surge in cases in Florida and Texas and added to the current spread of the virus.

Trump’s actions until this week has generated losing re-election poll numbers. Trump has changed his tune on the virus for now. He has conceded the virus will get worse before it gets better, which I interpret as- it will get worse in the next 100 days up until the election and then start to get better once Biden takes charge.

His tone change does not erase his past actions that have generated 145,000 deaths.  Remember Trump has said he does not take responsibility. On July 21^st Trump announced “we are (uh) in the process of developing a strategy that’s going to be very, very powerful we’ve developed (um) as we go along”  What’s the rush it’s only been 6 months. 

TRUMP PROVOKING IRAN

The App Flight Tracker identifies the airline, flight number, overhead map location and direction worldwide of all planes in the air. This information is provided by all commercial airliners using the on board IFF transponder, transmitting the information that is beamed in real time to satellites and is captured on the App.

The reason I have given this background is due to a recent encounter over Syria by a pair of United State Military fighter jets harassing and creating a dangerous situation. These two jets buzzed an Iranian commercial airliner with civilian passengers and caused it to dive to avoid the jets. This resulted in injuries to the passengers. Was this just unnecessary provocation and intimidation in hopes of some type confrontation with Iran?

It is obvious that the military has the same IFF technology (Identification Friend or Foe IFF) on all military and commercial aircraft using the transponder to provide the data. The commercial aircraft normally would never turn off or disengage the IFF transponders, especially flying over a war zone like Syria. Since the Malaysia flight 370 incident, when the pilot disabled the IFF, airlines have made it nearly impossible to disable the IFF transponder in commercial aircraft while airborne.

The American pilots knew the aircraft was commercial, and if not the individuals that performed the unnecessary provocative attack on civilians should be re-assigned to a desk. I know the technology and it is inconceivable to me they did not immediately identify the aircraft and all other information on their heads up display. The pilots had to know they were provoking a civilian aircraft. The question is this- were the pilots just being jerks wanting to frighten the passengers?  Did they do this under orders?  And if ordered, why?
