TRUMP’S ACHILLES
Anyone who does not know the meaning of service to others as a higher calling and questions the service and sacrifice of others has questionable character and has no business leading anything except a mob where compassion and empathy have no place.
Donald trump has always had the attitude “What’s in it for me.” At one time he said he could monetize the presidency. It seems the same motivation the mob has is that of Trump with greed and avarice at its core. Trump is like a gold miner with gold fever except it is the amassing of both wealth and gold using other people’s money (code for taxpayer you and I).
The Achilles for Trump is his penchant to denigrate anyone that is “sucker” enough to sacrifice by serving anyone other than oneself. The Atlantic Magazine article illustrates these undesirable traits Donald has acquired and continues to utilize to the dismay of his allies. The report by the Atlantic has been confirmed by numerous other major news organizations.
The Washington Post wrote of the Atlantics comments Trump’s disinterest in the military and …”disparaging comments about veterans and soldiers missing in action, referring to them at times as losers.” The New York Times (NYT) The Washington Post all confirm the Atlantic article and the Times wrote: “some also recalled him asking why the United States should be so interested in finding captured soldiers.” The Times also reported he made disparaging remarks about fallen soldiers as well. The times noting: “Another former official said Mr. Trump often expressed discomfort around people who had been injured.” He attacked his own cabinet generals Mattis and Kelly.
It was reported by both Associated Press (AP) Washington Post that Trump had asked John Kelly at his son’s grave site on Memorial day: “What’s in it for them” looking at Arlington National Cemetery. The AP reported: “Trump disparaged U.S. war dead as ‘Losers’ and “Suckers”. When asked about visiting an American cemetery in France in 2018: “Trump responded by saying he didn’t want to visit the cemetery because it was “filled with losers” the official said.
Sources for the Washington Post said that Trump believed people who served in the Vietnam War must be ‘losers’ because they hadn’t gotten out of it, according to a person familiar with the comments. Losers because they did not find a way out of serving his country. The NYT reported that he has long scorned those who served in Vietnam as being too dumb to have gotten out of it, as he did through a medical diagnosis of bone spurs.
The national security reporter for Fox news Jennifer Griffin that spoke with two senior U.S. officials that were on the trip to France and she had confirmed key details in the Atlantic article and the quotes attributed to the president. Her source confirmed when Trump spoke about the Vietnam War he said: “it was a stupid war. Anyone who went was a sucker.” Her source also confirmed his comments about how he felt about American veterans: “What’s in it for them they don’t make any money.”
Jennifer continued, his comments reveal a deep “character flaw in that he could not understand why someone would die for their country, not worth it.” This was reported by a senior administration official.
Jennifer said on air regarding the trip to France to honor the WWI dead in Suresnes France in 2018 Trump was mad about something Macron had said to him and he asked “Why do we need to go to two cemeteries why do have to do two?” Regarding a Trump planning session for a July 4th military parade he questioned the inclusion of disabled and wounded veterans as “that’s not a good look, Americans don’t like that.” This after seeing a Bastille Day Parade in France. Trump denies all the stories.
His prior rhetoric is coming back to him. The John Mc Cain “Not a hero because he was shot down.” Or his disparagement of Gold Star families that did not like Trump. Donald Trump has denigrated all of his generals that have served in his cabinet.
Donald Trump from his bully pulpit accused the military leadership of putting the soldiers in harm’s way exposing young men and women to violence and death to serve war profiteers in an interview on September 7th. The lack of his response to the bounties on American soldiers by Russia is the essence of trump’s contempt for the military. The people in the military sacrifice for everyone else and this Dotard has no clue of what serving a higher cause is all about. Trump has proven again and again he is not fit to lead as a Commander in Chief.
Where are the republicans that should speak out against his vial rhetoric? The reporting from the Atlantic Magazine has been confirmed by other major news organizations. Trump may call it “fake news”, however, his lies total over 20,000. Because of Trump’s lack of leadership we are now at over 190,000 deaths due to the Covid-19 virus and counting, thanks to Donald Trump.
Trump denies the stories that he disparages veterans and war casualties as a hoax. “Who would say a thing like that, only an animal would say a thing like that”….”I’m not saying the military is in love with me, the soldiers are, the top people in the Pentagon probably aren’t because they want to do nothing but fight wars so that all of those wonderful companies that make the bombs and make the planes and make everything else stay happy.” I wonder what his 10 billion dollar sale of arms to the Saudi Arabia was in his first months in office? He has been cozied with all the Military Industrial complex doing their bidding in congress. Trump using projection again?
Trump said only an animal would speak this way, he is an animal. He is a disgusting cretin, no honor no integrity he is a despicable with respect for no one. He feels laws and norms are for someone else, so he does what pleases he sees himself as a modern day Henry VIII.
He has no respect for the law when pardons a war criminal that committed cold blooded murder of a child shot on a video. He continues to attack John Mc Cain even after his death. Our enemies love his rhetoric, Putin sees he is dividing the country and he is ecstatic sitting in the Kremlin.
