TRUMP AND SCIENCE

The death of reason and science will usher in a new dark age where longevity is diminished, global warming is marginalized and the planet bakes with increased green house gasses.  The denial of science and medicine, coupled with an ignorant immigration policy makes the race to the bottom a sprint.

This phenomenon is exacerbated by the dumbing down of low income, minorities, and immigrants.  Not allowing science, logic, and history to guide any decision

Dr. Fauci in a virtual meeting* with other scientists warned of a new dark age as a result of anti-science rhetoric. ”We’re really going through a time that’s disturbingly  anti-science in certain segments of our society that’s very troublesome to me and we really need as group of scientists physicians and health care providers really stick together in our principles because it is not going to be very easy as we go on with our challenges this is a very very difficult period in our existence and we need  to be the steadfast vocal defenders of the scientific process.” A stark warning and an urgent threat to control of the pandemic.

Take Scott Atlas unqualified radiologist, giving epidemiological advice against the advice medical professionals.  Deborah Brix had asked for his removal from the task force. He keeps harboring the herd immunity theory and has Trump’s ear.  He has replaced Dr. Fauci because Dr. Fauci won’t tell Trump what he wants to hear.   

Scott has the ear of Trump and is promoting the death wish cult of herd immunity and at the same time protecting the venerable so everyone else can resume normal economic activity.  The venerable are those with pre-existing conditions and age susceptible amount to 40% of the population requiring protection.  How many of these are living with those now integrated into the economy and are spreading the virus?  Donald Trump having super-spreader events like Typhoid Mary with no regard for public health shows how scientific and medical ignorance spreads.

People not believing in science is now at its peak and will pull us into the dark ages.  We have a pandemic and science and medicine reason and logic that can pull us out of the malaise the pandemic has wrought, however it is being attacked at the highest levels.  This attack is not now only the fringe of the society, it is the President and his minions spreading the spew from his cesspool fertilizing his crop of followers. 

What has the Federal Government done to suppress the pandemic since April?  I guess if you ignore the science, the medical advice and act like an ostrich and bury your head in the sand it goes away, just like a child holding both hands over their eyes.  Why is this happening in an infectious emergency potentially killing hundreds of thousands of its citizens? 

We have both the pandemic and the solution at hand, however, it takes an intelligent enough person that understands others when they speak the truth using science, logic and reason based decisions  We require belief in  the scientific method which calls for repetition of results not observations. 

It’s unconscionable that we are in the middle of a pandemic and are being pulled back into the dark ages by ignoring science and medicine.  There are no alternative facts and there is only one reality for normal humans. The ultimate solution will come from science, not from ignoring the facts, hiding the truth, evading, and lying  about the virus.

We are seeing another predicted spike in cases as the weather cools in the upper Mid-Western states . The spike in cases is a leading indicator of deaths by about 2 weeks, or around election.  Will this new wave of deaths at high counts discourage voter turnout?  Will Trump’s super spreader rally’s  now two weeks out make an impact on his infected voters going to the polls?  Some northern Mid-West states are now out of ICU beds and lack ICU staffing.  The cold weather and indoor activities will bring the next wave which is on the way to surpass the initial wave.
