Countdown 10 Days Until Election

TRUMP’s REPUBLICANS  AND OTHER ALLIES?

Retired Four star Adm. William McRaven Special Ops Commander that oversaw the raid on Bin Laden in an article in the Wall Street Journal titled “Biden will make America Lead Again”  He had recently revealed he voted for Joe Biden and Writes this: “ Truth be told, I am a pro-life, second amendment, small-government, strong-defense and a national anthem -standing conservative.  But I also believe that black lives matter, that the Dreamers deserve a path to citizenship, that diversity and inclusion are essential to our national success, that education is the great equalizer, that climate change is real and that the First Amendment is the cornerstone of our democracy.  Most important , I Believe that America must lead in the world with courage, conviction and a sense of honor and humility.” End

Retired Adm. William McRaven on Tuesday defended retired Gen. Stanley McChrystal after his former colleague was the target of a critical tweet from President Trump, saying that “no general I know has given more in the service of this country.”

In a statement to CNN, McRaven praised McChrystal as “one of the great generals of this generation and the finest officer I ever served with” after Trump blasted the general as a “Hillary lover” with a “big, dumb mouth.” “He is a deep strategic thinker, tactically brilliant, with unparalleled personal courage,

McRaven told CNN of McChrystal. “His leadership of special operations forces in Iraq and Afghanistan unquestionably saved the lives of thousands of American and allied troops, as well as countless civilians. No general I know has given more in the service of this country.”

The president singled out McChrystal for criticism on Tuesday after the former leader of U.S. operations in Afghanistan called the president “immoral” and said he would not work for his administration if asked. “It’s important for me to work for people who I think are basically honest, who tell the truth as best they know it,”

McChrystal said. “I don’t think he tells the truth,” he added. McChrystal came to McRaven’s defense in November after the president derided McRaven as a “Hillary Clinton fan,” and criticized how long it took to kill Osama bin Laden. McRaven, who oversaw the mission that took down bin Laden, has expressed concern about Trump’s treatment of the press.

McChrystal called the president’s comments about McRaven “simply wrong” and “uninformed.” The retired four-star Army general, who resigned in 2010 after critical remarks he made about then-Vice President Joe Biden and other civilian leaders were published in Rolling Stone, has spoken out against the president’s rhetoric and policies in recent months.

In an article in NBC THINK affiliate Michael Steel former Republican National Chairman had written: “I’m a Republican voting for Joe Biden over Trump.  Because I am an American first.   America has watched as the Republican Party stopped pursuing animating principles of freedom and opportunity. It has given up its voice on things that mattered and instead bent on the arc of the party  towards the baser motives of one man, who is neither a Republican nor a  conservative.

This isn’t leadership he opined on morning Joe we are better than this because the country can do better than this.  Michael steel would rather fight over policy than fight over what it means to be an American.  Steel said that the man behind the Resolute desk in the White House is a direct reflection, the good and the bad, on us as a country.  Others see us as a reflection of the Commander in Chief.  Michael steel has stated he will vote for Biden.

Former Chairman of the Republican party under Bush Marc Racicot as reported by fox news as follows: Marc Racicot, a former governor of Montana as well as an ex-chairman of the Republican National Committee, endorsed Democratic nominee Joe Biden for president in an interview this week. “Even as a Republican, I will not be supporting Donald Trump for president, and I will not be voting for him,” Racicot, 72, told Home Ground Radio host Brian Kahn. “That means that I’ll be voting for Joe Biden for president.” The half-hour interview, focused on the state of U.S. politics in general, turned to the 2020 election near its end.

Bush’s reelection campaign in 2004.He said chief executives elected at all levels should have “a sense of decency, a sense of respect, a sense of hard work” and be willing to consider opposing opinions.

He also said that President Trump lacks the humility needed to run the country — but he noted that there were more people to blame than just him for a divisive political climate. “A free people can’t govern themselves if they cannot proceed with respect for the other people involved in the process and with humility,” he said. “It just simply won’t work. ”Racicot added that he did not expect to agree with many of Biden’s policies. But he said “the content of a man’s character” was “more important than any other issue.” He had publicly refused to vote for Trump in the 2016 election and said that he now has “even more grave doubts” about the Republican candidate.
