Countdown 4 Days Until Election-Vote
TRUMP’s CHARACTER
Character is on the ballot and Trump having no empathy, abdicating any responsibility for Covid-19 to the governors in April, blaming others for his inadequacies, always wanton for attention should disqualify him from public office.
Lying and pushing the limits like a petulant insecure child without conscience or empathy describes his character. The last debate was a showcase of the of Trump’s lies or inaccuracies.
The first stretch was the claim: Trump “2.2 million people, modeled out, were expected to die.” This claim falsely draws from the White House March estimates that did not consider any precautions or mitigation. No social distancing, no masks. With interventions the same study predicted the death toll to be 100,000 to 240,000 deaths. No one expected that no interventions would take place. The toll will blow through the 240,000 by mid-November. A Colombia University study determined that 130,000 to 240,000 deaths were avoidable with earlier response and precautions.
Trump tries to change the subject from Covid-19 to how he made the economy great before and will do it again. Touting his record breaking numbers of jobs as if he created them. Jobs are still about 50% of the numbers that were lost from February. The underlying unemployment rate is 25%-27% when you count all types of current unemployment and underemployment.
The September BLS data shows an official rate of 7.9% with 12.6 million unemployed. This undercount is explained by adjustments The unemployment rate does not include 19.4 million that were Covid-19 related unable to work or was paid for not working due to the pandemic.
If Trump wins there will be a bloodbath of career Federal civil service employees trump thinks is a part of the deep state. Trump has signed an executive order that re-classifies federal civil service protections for workers so that he can fire them without cause and install more sycophants at all levels.
Trump’s actions against civil servants prompted a high ranking appointee Ronald Sanders Federal Salary Council to resign. In resigning, he said that although he is a lifetime republican he, “cannot in good conscience continue” to serve this administration. Trump’s order “seeks to make loyalty to him the litmus test for many thousands of career civil servants, and that is something I cannot be part of. ,and write a letter that said: ”I cannot be part of an Administration that seeks to replace apolitical expertise with political obeisance. Career Federal employees are legally and duty bound to be nonpartisan; they take an oath to preserve and protect our Constitution and the rule of law….not to be loyal to a particular President or administration.” He wrote. This letter was posted in the Washington Post.
On Trumps execution list is to fire Christopher Wray director of the FBI, and Gina Haspel Director of the CIA, and the Pentagon Chief Mark Esper which are despised and distrusted in Trump’s inner circle. He would have done this before now, however, there would be a giant headache if he did it prior to Nov. 3rd.
The conservative New Hampshire Union Leader editorial stated “our choice is Joe Biden.” The editorial goes on to say: “We were hopeful with Trump’s win that he might change, that the weight and responsibility of the oval office might mold a more respectful and presidential man. We have watched with the rest of the world as the mantle of the presidency has done little to change Trump while the country and the world have changed significantly. President Trump is not always 100% wrong, but he is 100% wrong for America….Sadly, President Trump has proven himself to be the antithesis of thoughtful and pragmatic: he has failed to earn a second term. Our endorsement for President of there United States goes to Joe Biden.”
The race is close today, There are only 4 days left Biden’s lead is 52-43% which is larger and more stable than Hillary Clinton’s in 2016. There are far fewer undecided and fewer third party serious candidates than in 2016. District level polls back up the state polls. This is a horse race and barring a stumble, or fixing the race Biden should win.
Here are a few more republicans and conservatives that are now endorsing Joe Biden
Cindy McCain, Colin Powell, John Kasich, Chuck Hagel, Michael Hayden, Adm. William McRaven, Tom Ridge, 73 former national security officials in republican Adm., 250 former Bush 43 campaign and staffers, over 100 McCain2008 and 30 Romney 2012 campaign staffers, Former Trump admin. Officials Miles Taylor, Olivia Troye, and Elizabeth Neumann, over 35 former Republican congressmen and Senators, Members of the Lincoln Project and Voters Against Trump groups, This is a partial list that is growing. Most of these are lifetime republicans that understand what is at stake in this election and are doing something they thought they would never need to do.
