MAKING AMERICA GREAT

The Donald is missing out on world-wide efforts to find a vaccine.  In a recent WHO meeting of developed member countries, a 5 point pledge was introduced, making corporation, data exchange,  coordination, and  communications on any progress and breakthroughs in real time mandatory. These developed countries recognized the value of world-wide cooperation in this global epidemic. Mr.Ed’s medical experts either choose or were told not to attend. His disenfranchisement of the WHO and insisting on its defunding, is shown to either be short-sighted or is intended is to protect the US. Pharmaceutical industry?

This is a world-wide crisis and deserves the attention of a leader.  Leadership is essential short sightedness, isolationism and the “Keep America Great” mantra does not erase stupidity.  Total and universal cooperation, communications, and sharing of even proprietary information is required and any potential delays in developments in real time, has the effect of killing potentially thousand with the virus.

Does Mr. Ed think “Hmm, if the U.S. labs perfect a vaccine, I can use it as a tool for the pharmaceutical industries to make a profit and I can use quid-pro-quo mob tactics for distribution and sales only to my friends and spit on my enemies?”.  Note: At least someone must speculate on his stupidity even though it’s a conspiracy theory now, the fact that anyone that knows his motivational behavior knows these are real possibilities.  This ostrich like behavior only amplifies his inadequacies as a world leader, and potentially delays the eventual manufacturing and distribution of any potential cure.

Let’s all praise his pandemic virus response -yay!

On a lighter note, I once recently tried it define in political terms, Trumpism.  Now let me describe the ways that Trumpism is different than most political ideologies.  Trumpism values money over life, markets over medicine, his opinion over professionals  facts, denial over science, false hope over truth, projection over responsibility and sycophants over competence.  Not to mention the international norms he has turned to shambles.  Take for instance his disdain for professionals in civil service, which he has labeled the “deep state”.  Isolationism from a global economy is totally disrupting trade and costing consumers with his tariffs and farm bailouts.  The above sums up Trumpism and in his own words he stated to a reporter in response to a partial question he did not like and reporter did not get a chance to finish “I’m the president and you’re fake news.  I’m here to present talent.  I’m here to present ideas, because we want ideas to get rid of this thing”  He views his briefings and appearances as a show and he looks for talent not honesty or truth.

In other news, Moscow Mitch McConnell threatened not to fund a bailout for cities and states. No state can print money.  Some states have no other revenue stream, other than taxes and cannot legally go bankrupt.  This leaves the other states to float bonds and raise taxes.  The states that are allowed to raid pensions, will suffer in that all government workers, including Police, firefighters EMT technicians, and other first responders will see pension reductions to cover their added costs.  Hey Mitch, will this be your true payback for all their efforts during the pandemic?  Gov. Cuomo said, “Bring it on!” when he heard of Mitch’s statement.

The WHO stated that there is the potential for re-infections, for those that have tested positive and after recovery were re-infected.  The response to the virus can be seen in the death count. Of the United States vs the world, we comprise 25% of all deaths, yet we are .04% of the population of the world.  Being this is a world-wide pandemic, shouldn’t our response be gauged against the rest of the world?  By far we are  #1 by at least 6 times -yeah! Now that’s sarcasm Mr. Ed.

In other stupidity, the day Georgia re-opened beaches, massage parlors, bowling alleys, and tattoo parlors is what sane people call “re-infection day”. Georgia had 34% increase in deaths from the virus over last week.  It had no consistent daily decline in Covid cases and as a result, Georgia does not meet the national guideline requirements to safely re-open.  I think its  a ruse to think, the heard of the idiots and low IQ individuals that bring it back to the elderly and infect and kill them too, is again a republican two-fer.

Trumpism is to blame for the FDA laxing of restrictions on tests, allowing companies to sell FDA un-tested and un-proven tests to be distributed to the manufacturer.  The claims by the manufacturer have been fraudulent and the tests only need to have the warning not FDA approved.  This has made for the wide-spread distribution of tests, that produce false negatives with the potential for catastrophic results.  It’s a test free-for-all with snake oil being legally marketed.  China sent over $500,000 worth of tests that were all proven to be worthless.

I call this Trumpism
