RUSSIA REDUX

The Senate Intelligence Committee led by Marco Rubio (R) released an almost 1000 page report regarding Russian meddling in 2016. President Donald Trump would have you believe that the investigation into his campaign collaborating with the Russians, was illegitimate and a hoax.

The GOP led committee report counters Trump’s recollections regarding interference. The report showed why Paul Manafort the convicted felon and ex Trump campaign chairman, was a “grave counterintelligence threat” the Senate found.

It has been known since the Muller investigation that Russian military officers were responsible for hacking the Democratic server. To that end, 12 Military officers were indicted for their efforts. The hackers were releasing the hacked e-mails to WikiLeaks. The report also found “Trump and senior Campaign officials sought to obtain advanced information about the planned WikiLeaks releases, through Roger Stone.”  The Trump campaign “sought to maximize the impact of those leaks” and “created messaging strategies” for best effect.

The report also found that Trump made efforts to “publicly undermine” the 17 US intelligence agencies conclusions that Russia was behind the hacking. One of the tropes was that it was Ukraine not Russia was behind the hacking. The report debunked that theory that had been promulgated by the Russian GRU (GRU is Soviet intelligence).  The Senate was warned this was all bunk in the impeachment hearings, as Soviet GRU disinformation was meant to turn the laser over there.

The report also stated that the campaign “was indifferent to whether it and Wiki-Leaks were furthering a Russian election interference effort.” The Muller report in its non-redacted text, said that Paul Manafort had significant communications with Konstantin Kilimnik and was described as having ties to Russian intelligence. This report issued on the Wed. 17th revised that by stating that Konstantin Kilimnik was an actual Russian intelligence officer.

Manafort and Konstantin Kilimnik were business partners in Ukraine prior to the 2016 election. The committee had “obtained some information suggesting Kilimnik may have been connected to the GRU’s hack and leak operation targeting the 2016 election” the details of the information was redacted.  This is why the report concluded that Paul Manafort was a “grave counterintelligence threat.”

Trump lied under oath, it was found during their investigation. In Trump’s written responses to the Muller Report Trump stated, “he had not recalled discussing WikiLeaks with Roger Stone.”  The committee had concluded, that “Trump did, in fact speak with Stone about WikiLeaks.”  The report said that after Stone told Trump and others in April or May 2016 that WikiLeaks would release damaging information about Hillary, the report said, “Trump directed campaign officials to stay in touch with Roger Stone about future activities regarding Clinton related E-mails.”

The timeline is shown “At approximately 4 P.M on October 7, The Washington Post released the Access Hollywood tape. Witnesses involved on Trump’s debate preparation recalled that the team first heard of thee tape about an hour prior to public release….news of the release also made its way to Roger Stone. Stone wanted the Podesta stuff to balance the news cycle ether right then or at least coincident ….have WikiLeaks drop the Podesta tapes immediately.”  Thirty minutes after the Access Hollywood tapes were dropped, the Podesta E-mails were released by WikiLeaks. Trump hates Jeff Bezos, owner of the Washington Post and Amazon and he loves WikiLeaks. I wonder why?

The report also concludes Trump, in the last month of the campaign, ”knowingly used the stolen hacked information after the intelligence committee warned him not to.” In August the intelligence community told Donald that Russia had stolen materials, all in coordination with Russia.

Trump’s National Security Advisor, his campaign chairman, deputy campaign chairman, personal lawyer, campaign political consultant, foreign  policy advisor  and his attorney General all lied about contacts with Russia.  Some were put in jail. All had lied to the Feds or congress and the report lays it all out in stark terms.

The report shows the degree of involvement by Donald Trump, by a bipartisan committee doing a full and complete investigation. If the report is widely read it could be devastation to Trump. The authors signing off on the Republican Party have already disavowed some of what was written. Republican senators on the committee are misrepresenting their own words in the Russia report? Why?  Stockholm syndrome? Fear of reprisal from the Donald?

The disinformation coming from Ukraine is as a result of the loss of the Ukrainian election by the Soviet backed candidate.  Konstantin Kilimnik was upset by the election because the new President was quick to disrupt the corruption in the country. Is Trump still looking for disinformation from Ukraine? Where’s Rudy? In Ukraine doctoring tapes collected from disgruntled political losers for the October surprise?

The Durham report that Barr said he is going to release in October, is looking at the origins of the investigations into the Trump campaign and will paint a picture of corruption in the FBI and CIA and the Carter Page story. The administration had attempted to say the investigation was tainted by the reliance on the Steele dossier and the set-up of Carter Page.

The Senate investigation spent 6 ½ hours with Carter Page and found his actions to be suspicious. Even though the investigation may have started with tainted information, the report stated the investigation into Carter Page was warranted due to the suspicious behavior including alterations of E-mails that had been submitted.

Russian Kompromat made up a large portion of the report and debunks the Trump notion that there was “no collusion” with the Russians is undermined by his own actions. In  ”separate but related allegations, which were not made public, in cases predated both  Steel’s memos and the 2016 U.S presidential campaign…. The Committee collected the testimony and other information, but did not establish that Russian government collected kompromat on Trump.”

Every time Trump, a touted Billionaire, would visit Russia for business you can bet his every move was taped from many angles.  His interpreters were most likely handlers catering to his every whim and desire and gathering Kompromat in the process. I’m not sure Kompromat would work with Trump. After all, you need a conscience to know shame.

Russian Kompromat threat posed by the collection of damaging data on Trump and information on strip clubs, data on personal information, trips to Russia, and things about he and his family, potentially used by Putin to influence relations with Russia. This section is heavily redacted and has those that have seen the information say it has credible information about Trump’s behavior which can be used by Russia.  What does Putin have on his puppet?

The New York Times article “Senate panel ties Russian officials to Trump’s aides” and that the “GOP led committee echoes Muller’s findings on Election tampering.”  The Washington Examiner reported the “Senate report blows a hole in Trump’s hoax claims.”

The report concludes Trump had made a concerted effort to obtain assistance using an illegal Russian operation used to harm Clinton’s campaign. Action that is impeachable?
