Countdown 63 Day Election

California 33 days until early voting

TRUMP

Donald Trump is the anthesis of the father of philosophy Socrates.  Socrates was said to say: his ideas are not his own, but his teachers’. He Is said to have mentioned several influences.  The term, “Socratic paradox” can also refer to a self-referential paradox, originating in in what was said of Socrates’s utterance, “what I do not know I do not think I know“, often paraphrased as “I know that I know nothing.”  Trump would say I know that I know everything, just ask me.

REPUBLICAN CONVENTION TAKEAWAY

With the Covid-19 pandemic, impending economic catastrophe, rampant wildfires. and hurricanes the convention seamed out of step with reality. The republican convention can be summed up by Kimberly Guilfoyle in what appeared to be the opening argument having summoned the Kraken with screaming and scaring small children “the best is yet to come.”  Is she referring to any of the important things going around Trump’s America?

The theme for the convention seemed to be “Fear and Violence.”  The height of projection and hypocrisy Kimberly said of a Biden’s to be “cosmopolitan elites” that want to “destroy this country.” And Trump is not a billionaire cosmopolitan elite?  Biden and Harris both worked their way to where they are and did not get millions from their family.  Trump may not want to destroy the country but his divisive approach to politics does not help.  It does not matter where you come from if you lack empathy.

The Convention was 4 days of someone else’s objective reality, a narcissistic show ignoring Trump’s created dystopia.  The lies kept streaming out projecting Trump and his administration onto joe Biden.  The theme seemed to be how many lies can be told in front of flags. They started with misleading and lying about Biden and what he would do as president.

The lies begin with Jason Joyce saying “if Biden wins will be controlled by the environmental extremists.”  Natalie Harp said with Biden “we would be one step closer to government run health care.”  Erick Trump said that “Biden pledged to defund the police ”  Donald Trump said that Biden “would take down the wall how about that.”  Biden has not said he would do any of those things.  Trump convention attempted to paint Joe Biden, the middle of the road democrat, as a Socialist closely aligned with Bernie and AOC.

The convention claims Trump had never said “there were very fine people on both sides” referring to Charlottesville, which is a lie.  Another claim was made that Trump had passed the veterans choice act on his watch, which he did not. And he was going to protect people with pre-existing conditions.  Trump is currently has a case before the Supreme Court to nullify the Affordable Care Act which would get rid of the protection for per existing conditions.

The standout was economic advisor, and one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse Larry Kudlow he referred to the covid-19 pandemic in the past tense and said: “Then came a once in a 100 year pandemic, it was awful.  Health and economic impacts were tragic, hardship and heartbreak were everywhere.  But, presidential leadership came swiftly and effectively with an extraordinary  rescue for health and safety to successfully fight the Covid virus.”  How do you talk about the virus in the past tense when it is taking 1,000 lives each day during the convention?  It’s taking more deaths than in the 911 attacks or Pearl Harbor in the 4 days.

Nikki Haley insisted that racism is a relic of the past and said: “America is not a racist country” that theme was the mantra for the convention ignoring reality.  She told a story of the state flag with the stars and bars representing a Confederate battle flag being taken down after 9 people were killed in an historic black church.  The reality was removal of the flag was jump started by someone that had climbed the state capital and removed the flag and was arrested.  The flag was put back 45 minutes later.  She proudly defends Trump that supported the flag and said “it represents the South.”

The convention was not so much about  winning over black voters but reassuring white voters that they can vote for Trump and not be racist. This was the intent of the theme “fear and violence”  Mike Pence said: “The American people know, we don’t have to choose between supporting law enforcement and standing with our African American neighbors”  Did he just separate American people from African Americans? African Americans are not, people too?  All this rhetoric with a steady dribble of fear of the suburbs being taken over by radical gangs.

The message was the democrats no longer viewed the governments job of protecting the citizens from the criminals but protecting criminals from honest citizens. One of the guests at the convention said Democrats want to  abolish the suburbs altogether by ending single family home zoning. (note: local government determine zoning for housing not the Federal Government)

COVID-19 VIRUS update

Very quietly and suddenly, the White House pressured the CDC to change their guidelines on COVID-19 testing this week — without the consent of Dr. Fauci:

The CDC is buckling under the political pressure of the Trump Administration. They had determined that if you are exposed to someone with the coronavirus, you are not required to quarantine or get a test unless you have symptoms — even though asymptomatic people can spread the virus.

The White House waited to get the Coronavirus Taskforce to sign off on these changes until a time when Dr. Fauci could not attend the meeting. When asked about these new changes, Dr. Fauci said: “I was under general anesthesia in the operating room and was not part of any discussion or deliberation regarding the new testing recommendations.”

After both public and medical professionals were told the reaction was obvious.  Someone is politicizing the CDC.  Could it be the one person that thinks testing causes more people to have the virus?  The problem with the Trump administration politicizing the CDC and the FDA is obvious.  With Trump at the helm and 19,000 lies in 3 ½ years who would believe his minions that have drunk the grape cool aid.

After viewing the republican national convention anyone not knowing any better would ask: What virus?  The 180,000 deaths were the real elephants neglected in the convention after all the virus in the past tense during the convention.

As I have predicted since Russia had announced they were skipping over what we would call Phase III testing for their vaccine for the Covid-19 virus that Donald would follow suit.

Stephen Hann FDA commissioner is contemplating doing the same. This approval for emergency use authorization is normal for all potential drugs that have proven effective and no adverse effects during Phase I and II and Phase III trials have proof of being effective. This skips the phase that determines any long term effects the drug may cause.

Hann, after his abuse of facts and retraction of the effects of Plasma therapies saying there was a 35% effective rate when the facts were more like potentially 3-5% .  This distortion was repeated by Trump people and used in the emergency use authorization for the therapy.  Was he prodded into the misstatement?  Politicizing the FDA is potentially deadly and can have serious lasting effects.  Would you drink grape Kool-Aid if offered by Trump?  That is the danger of politicizing the FDA.  We will see a vaccine emergency use declaration in late September or early October just before the election with a rollout and great fanfare?  Another Laser show?
