TRUMP-HOW CAN I CHEAT?                                     

Britney Spears would have said “oops I did it again” and got caught again.  Trump allies taking a page out of the 2016 playbook using foreign assistance to interfere in the 2020 election.  Andrii Derkach, a graduate of the Russian spy academy, member of the Ukraine Parliament and maintains close ties to Russian intelligence.  Andrii Derkach was sanctioned along with other foreigners for election interference “a covert influence campaign “ in the 2020 elections. 

Andrii Derkach also happens to be friends with Rudolph E. Giuliani.  Giuliani spent a lot of time in Ukraine over the last two years talking to and being groomed by this Russian agent, at the same time he was Trump’s personal lawyer.  When Giuliani was asked if he had spoken to Trump about Ukraine since he’s been back and he demurred saying it was “attorney client privilege.”  He also claims to have proof that Biden bribed the president of Ukraine in a recent interview.  The altered audio tapes, now some phony trumped up charge by Trump’s stooge?  I can’t wait to October when this lie, the lies on the dubbed audio and the Durham forced conclusions on the origins of the Muller report.  All this to white wash and provide revisionist history to the events prior to the Muller report details are all reveled.

The acquisitions were made by the Treasury Department in a criminal complaint that includes Andrii Derkach, Artem Mikhaylovich Lifshits, and others of interfering by releasing in May highly edited audio recordings designed to denigrate Joe Biden and his campaign.  These misleading recordings have been promoted by both Giuliani and Trump and his campaign. 

Trump has retweeted the recordings was intended to promote a baseless narrative that Biden wanted to remove Ukraine’s top prosecutor because he was investigating his son Hunter that was on the board of a gas company.  Joe Biden at that time was in his official capacity representing the position of the Obama administration and western allies in seeking the removal of that prosecutor that was perceived to be weak on corruption.  

Three of the individuals were connected to the Internet Research Agency, an internet troll farm that officials said had interfered in the 2016 elections by spreading disinformation, and promoting conspiracy theories such as Q-anon in order to sow discord and spreading disinformation on mail-in- ballots and voting, BLM peaceful protests, left wing radicalized white supremacists.

One of the complaints accuses that Artem Mikhaylovich Lifshits of stealing American’s identities to open fraudulent bank accounts.  The entire purpose of the operation was to promote messaging aimed at undermining confidence in the US political system.  Biden by name is not mentioned in the complaint.

This effort mirrors the 2016 efforts described in the Muller report.  Robert Muller charged Russian nationals with stirring up discord on very divisive issues, just as today with mail-in- ballots and voting, BLM peaceful protests being invaded and peppered with those left wing radicalized white supremacists dotards in training wanting to sow division and violence.

Mr. Derkach, an active Russian agent for decades, he and other Russian agents: “employ manipulation and deceit to attempt to influence elections in the United States and elsewhere around the world”  Treasury Secretary Stephen Mnuchin said in his statement announcing the sanctions.  Rudy, are you listening?

The statement by the government was that the recordings advanced anti Biden claims that relied on “false and unsubstantiated narratives.”  The Treasury Department statement about Derkach read:…”certainly targeted the U.S. voting populace, and members of the U.S. government, based on his reliance on U.S. platforms, English language documents and videos, and Russian lobbyists in the United States used to propagate his claim.”  It has been noted that Congressmen and Senators have been spewing Russian disinformation talking points for months.

Stephen Mnuchin said: “The United States will continue to use all tools at it’s disposal to counter these Russian disinformation campaigns uphold the integrity of our election system.”  While Stephen Mnuchin is loyal to the president, the sanctions in some ways are counter to issues of great importance to the president. 

Not to start a conspiracy theory, however, what if the intelligence report given to congress a few weeks ago on the election interference is being held back from the public access as it outlines the disinformation and talking points spewed by the President and his minions and are the same talking points used by Russians in the intelligence report?  For the example – fraud involved in mail in voting.  This meme has been rampant in Republican lexicon with no evidence for months.  The Putin to Derkach to Giuliani to Trump is the circle complete?  Putin’s puppet rides again.  I recall last year when asked about information from foreign sources and he said: “I don’t know, I would have to look at first.”  although using the information would be illegal if obtained illegally as the Clinton tapes, would that stop Trump this time?
