ATTORNEY GENERAL BARR                                     

William Barr is living up to the desires of trump to be his Roy Cohn, a top political fixer for the Army-Mc Carthy hearings in 1954 that was a witch hunt for communist sympathizers in 1954.  Trump always wanted a Roy Cohn that was loyal, and Barr  had the same governing philosophy as he did about the Universal Executive.  Roy Cohen was eventually disbarred.

The Universal Executive philosophy renders every branch of the executive subservient to the executive and not to the Constitution, and you can ignore congress by issuing emergency executive orders and ignoring congressional subpoenas rendering congressional oversight useless.  Like Royalty without the title of Monarch or King and not what the founding fathers had in mind.  With that, Barr has the opinion he can do whatever he wants involving himself in both criminal and civil federal matters as an arm of the president. A very dangerous precedent.

Barr has flaunted judicial norms by acting on behalf of the president in a political manner, acting as Trump’s personal lawyer and not his commission to support and defend the constitution by working for the people and with equal justice for all.

To show his partisanship on WGN Radio BARR: “Increasingly the message of the Democrats appears to be Biden or no peace.”…”The only way that this is going to stop is if you vote Biden.  That becomes—that is a rule by the mob and we are approaching that.  Observations it appears is just repeating Trump’s narrative accusing and conflating  peaceful demonstrators with the violence imported armed and troublemakers such as the right wing boogaloo boyz and other right wing white supremacists at the rallies causing mayhem. 

Barr in the same radio interview parrots Trump’s speech at a political event saying: “I think we are getting into a position where we are going to find ourselves irrevocable committed to a socialist path.” We already are on a “socialist path” it’s socialized capitalism, whereas the government props up the corporations and lets everyone fend for themselves.  Example- the PPP bailout of 4 trillion Dollars public got $250 Billion small businesses another $500 billion and the remainder went to large corporations and funded a reserve (Thar’s the money Steve Mnuchin says has yet to be spent) so the Fed could dole out another 4 trillion in loans, grants, and corporate, and municipal bonds keeping the paper to maintain liquidity in the market and boost the stock market.  The presidential double speak about socialism should look at the corporate socialistic tendencies of this administration.  The 4 trillion in liquidity I call future debt with the pandemic lingering on.

The House of Representatives is looking into Attorney General Barr’s actions relating to politicization of criminal cases that the justice department has never weighs in until Barr.  The Durham investigation Barr is promoting prior to the election looking into the origins of the “crossfire hurricane” investigation looking into the Russian involvement into the 2016 campaign.

Barr seems to be promoting Trump while in the White House.  Not the appearance of impropriety but he actually acted improper.  Here are but a few of his actions that are questionable and have no prior precedent; Political misconduct

1. Defending Trump’s false voter fraud claims with no evidence.
2. Misleadingly summarized the Muller report.
3. Initiated Durham probe into Russia investigation
4. Intervened in the sentencing of Roger Stone
5. Moved to drop charges against Michael Flynn
6. The clearing of protestors in Lafayette Park for a Trump photo op.

William Barr also denigrated the professionals working for the department that had resigned he compared them to Montessori students they should know that there is only one boss.  These resignations had nothing to do with the line of authority Barr has the power, however, they resigned in protesting the political involvement into criminal cases not his power but his use which is seen as prejudicial.  This is what banana republics do. Currently there is pressure on Barr by Trump to punish perceived political enemies.  This may arise from acquisitions that may be made in the Durham report.  This report has been politically motivated and will be released at a time that will have maximum effect and with no time for rebuttal.

Barr also stated his opinion that; “Black Lives Matter protesters don’t care about black lives they are only using these deaths as props.”  This is not only insensitive in that none of the deaths had to happen, and most of them were unarmed.  That fact alone should create some reaction other than a conspiracy theory.

Barr also compared stay at home orders to “Slavery.” Sorry Barr slavery was not a pandemic  There are two third rail issues in political campaigns, slavery, and Nazism. Slavery was horrific to those enslaved, just how is that related to stay at home orders?  Besides the orders did not apply to essential workers that are in the most part minorities that are risking their lives, and have a death rate far above all other groups.  Slavery is ordering essential meat packers to work and not providing safety for them by your emergency order.  Most meat packing plants are located in areas where there is no alternative employment, and yes that is slavery.

The top aid in the review of the Durham Russia inquiry resigned expressing concern in recent weeks about pressure from Mr. Barr to deliver results ahead of the election in so doing Barr breaches past pledges, he recently said  that the Attorney General can be political he just cannot do anything “racial” or “religious.”  Barr sounds more like a political operative than an independent Attorney General.

Barr is laying down the predicate to pre-but the criticism that will be generated for his handling of the Durham investigation, and justify what he is about to do and ignore the departure of a lead investigator in the report claiming that Barr was pushing for the report to be issued prior to its completion. 

The House Democrats are pushing for an emergency investigation looking into Barr trying to influence the election.  Calls for his resignation have grown in the past week.
