TRUMP  and “LAW AND ORDER”     

The abundance of negative information creates a need to update items I wish I had time to explore further, yet not having the time.  I see a need to at least summaries these facts for now. So I have written about the mishigas Trump hath wrought.

Trump is attempting to claim the mantle of being the “Law and Order” president. Since his inaugural hate crimes are up and there is violence in the streets are the results of his 3 years of stroking racial animus.  Trump’s claim of “Law and Order” is the antithesis of his actions over his term in office.

No president has been more disrespectful of the rule of law than Trump. He has ignored or delayed implementation of legislative enactments, and has subverted the rule of law to be the rule of Trump.  It is no wonder that havoc and chaos follows his actions.  Is this his governing strategy?  It appears so.  Trump in Kenosha encouraged his supporters to take the law into their own hands and he defends the actions of Kyle Rittenhouse.  This action serves his purpose of igniting a melee with the Black Lives Matter protesters.  He then points at the peaceful protesters and calling them thugs for the riotous behavior of the interloping Trump dotards in training coming from outside create.

The look over there tactic of Trump is to ignore the Covid-19 elephant in the room.  Trump must play out this trope of murderous left-wing mobs that are amassing at the gates of the suburbs and only Trump can save you. 

Consider this, Trump is the first pro-vigilante president.  This is shown in various ways to start consider his reaction to killing in Charlottesville where he said: “you also had very fine people on both sides” after a car plowed into a crowd of counter protesters to a White supremacists rally.  The rally was full of white supremacist marching with torches spewing out hate rhetoric reminded me of actions of the Hitler youth in the 1930’s.

What about the pardons of the Hammonds , they were convicted of setting fire to federal lands which inspired the Bundy family to have an armed standoff with federal officials at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in Oregon.  How about his comments on the protests that ensued upon the killing of George Floyd “when the looting starts, the shooting starts.”

The incident in Oregon last Sunday where he said of his supporters that they were “GREAT PATRIOTS.”  These were MAGA hat wearing supporters that had used a caravan from outside Portland firing paint balls and spraying a chemical irritant (mace or tear gas) at the peaceful demonstrators from the backs of their pickup trucks.

Rep. Adam Schiff (D) California said this about trump’s penchant to cause chaos: “Trump sees this violence, and his ability to agitate more of it, as useful to his campaign.  What it does to the country, the loss of life, he does not care.” 

Trump embraces vigilantism by using racial rhetoric, fear and desperation to spew his vial fiction to his supporters at his rally’s.  Trump’s supporters in his rallies are made up of nearly all white, he calls all of his supporters peace-loving patriots.  Whereas his feelings for black and brown victims of racism and police attacks are anarchists, rioters, and criminals. 

The facts are not the same as Trump’s projections.  A study was published by the Center for Strategic and International Studies over a 25 year period researching politically motivated attacks found that there were 5 times more persons killed by right-wing fringe violence than left-wing.  The ANTIFA and anti-fascist movements were linked to only one death, and the person dying was an attacker of a peaceful protest during the timeframe studied.

“Law and order” only works with “safety and security” especially when the law and order has been applied with bias and prejudice.

Mike Pence at the republican convention had mentioned the chaos in Oakland at a Black Lives Matter protest where a Homeland Security guard was gunned down.  What did Mike Pence not say?  That it was a right-wing outside agitator that went to Oakland specifically to wreak havoc. 

Voting twice in most states is a felony and is illegal in all states.  This does not stop the president to encourage that behavior.  Trump in one of his riffs said encouraged his supporters to test the system and mail in your ballot, and also show up at the polls and vote and see if you are stopped.  When Attorney General Barr was asked about this he punted and said it’s up to the states and its whatever their law says.  Even I know it’s illegal and potentially a felony.  Looks like this administration has the “Break the Law and Order” candidate.

“Law and Order”?  I have not even delved into the pardons for criminal behavior and stepping into criminal proceedings for political purposes, that’s law and order?  What about the 10 counts of Trump’s administration’s obstruction of justice in the Muller report?  How about the presidents title of individual one for the same crime in indictment of Michael Cohen.  Michael Cohen went to jail for that crime, will Trump?  He is the “law and Order” choice, right? 

I have yet to mention the guilty and prison time of his 2016 campaign manager, his National Security Advisor, his personal lawyer, his long-time personal friend, and others.  It’s too bad there was no ability to have “Lock him up” chants at Biden’s convention .

Oh then there was Trump University scam which he was forced to pay a settlement.  How about the Trump charities where he was illegally spending charity monies for personal use and he and his family are banned from being on the board of any future charity.

The Trump administration is compared with the no-drama Obama administration where exactly -0- indictments were issued for his advisors or anyone closely associated with Obama that I can think of offhand.  It’s not that the republicans did not try with all their investigations of Hillary including 11 Benghazi  hearings and investigations.  Biden was a part of that dull and boring ‘law and Order” administration, a more peaceful time we once had.   I long for a time where violence was not encouraged and honest rational thinking prevailed and both law and order is punctuated with safety and security equally applied to all.
